Wieder mal: DANKE DANKE DANKE an all die Lieben, welche zu "Erdbebenopfer Nepal" gespendet haben.

On May 11th, several truck-loads of materials were sent to ten different villages. Here is a first-hand report from our kind Shenpen volunteer and RYI student Sonam Lama of his visit to the first village:
“Shenpen distributed about 27 bags of rice (each 35 kg). We gave as much as possible. It was very touching that they also realized we had to distribute the rest to the other villages further up the mountain and therefore didn’t push for more supplies. They were happy that we were going on to help their neighboring villages too.
The village headman, on behalf of all the villagers gave us katas to show their appreciation. Many of the villagers approached us individually to directly offer their thanks and gratitude. We told them that Rinpoche, Shenpen, and the Monastery made all this possible and that we hoped to be able to help them again in the future as much as possible.
To everyone who contributed to “Erdbebenopfer Nepal” (“Earthquake Victims Nepal,”) who made these donations possible, both our sincere thanks and the heartfelt gratitude from this village. For us driving there and distributing supplies, it was an incredibly humbling and yet uplifting experience.”
