Three Years after the Earthquake in Nepal People Are Still Relying on Donations
After
three years, there are still Nepalese who live in shacks made of tin
sheets. Approximately 80% of the houses have been either rebuilt or are
about to be rebuilt. Many people have not yet received the 3000 USD
which the government has promised each affected family. In addition,
this amount can only cover a small part of the actual rebuilding cost.
Therefore, many people in Nepal had to take out loans, but the interest
runs at approximately 30-40%. Especially those living in the mountains
are still suffering a lot. Many of them are very skinny and raggedly
dressed.
It
has been three years since the big earthquake hit Nepal. Approximately
9000 people died, more than 22,000 were injured, and over 900,000 houses
were destroyed. Please help those in need in Nepal. Even a small
donation such as 5 Euros can make a big difference!
