Enthusiastic fundraising efforts in the district of Mattersburg in Austria! Under the leadership of Ulli Glocknitzer and the municipality, Mattersburg hosted a big “Guglhupf” Bundt cake sale, its proceeds dedicated to Shenpen’s earthquake relief efforts. Yesterday was the first day, 140 Bundt cakes were sold, and more than 4000 Euros were raised. The town square was filled with people delivering, or selling, or buying Bundt cakes. Cakes were baked by kindergarten groups, the Jazz Pub, and many other generous groups and individuals. The sale is happening just before Mother’s Day, so a perfect opportunity to not only help Nepal but also bring joy to your mother. Our hearts here in Nepal are deeply touched by all of these efforts. A big THANK YOU to Ulli and everyone involved.
