Even though Boudhanath was less hit by the earthquake than other areas, still so many people are sleeping in tents, for example in our monastery (see photos). Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling’s courageous and compassionate monks are continuing their relief efforts. This morning, they had a big meeting, planning on how to reach very remote areas. Not only are the early rains and storms endangering the health of the many homeless people in Nepal, but today we heard that leopards are starting to attack villagers who are now not in protective buildings. Yet another reason to ensure that not only food is sent, but also that reconstruction has to start. Shenpen is working on getting building tools and materials out to where it is needed. As we speak some monastery teams are on the way to reach remote villages. A big thank you to the monastery administration for making it possible that donations received through Shenpen are directly and quickly helping so many!
